Tintin's Adventures: Zombie Calculus

While not planned originally when I did the zombie Tintin and Haddock, it was suggested I do more characters and since I enjoyed doing the first two so much... here are the twins.

As before, I used Wargames Factory plastic zombies as dollies and sculpted on the detail I wanted/needed. The canes are from a paperclip.

Tintin's Adventures: Zombie Tintin & Haddock

These aren't exactly canon, but were done as two more civilian zombies for the WW2 era. An intrepid reporter and his sailor sidekick. They'd been in a lot of tough spots in their days, but always managed to come out of them unscathed. Until now that is...

They are, or should I say "were" called, Tintin and captain Haddock.

 Got the inspiration for this late one night (out of nowhere really), so looked at the Wargames Factory zombie sprue for the best parts to use as dollies for these, threw in a West Wind WW2 zombiehead with peaked cap (after a bit of filing) and glued it together. Sculpted the details in the next day in two sessions (morning and afternoon). Painted the next day.

Tintin's Adventures: The Main Protagonists

These are a bit different from the others on this blog in that they're not straight 3D renditions of the cartoony comic figures, but are designed in a slightly more realistic style to go with my 28mm Pulp collection.

The famous reporter, his loyal dog and his sailor sidekick. For those of you not familiar with Hergé's comis, just google Tintin and you'll find a wealth of info in no time.

Snowy and Tintin are sculpted from scratch (though an Ebob puppet was used for Tintin. Haddock is a conversion of a Brigade Games merchant seaman.

They can't go anywhere without the faithful red jeep though. Figures are sculpted from scratch. The Jeep is a slightly converted and completely repainted Corgi WW2 Willys jeep.
